The following link should bring you directly to a tutorial I made for our Honors Geometry class. It's the first one on "Getting to Know Cabri" that I showed you on my laptop in class. Also, if your parents have time (about 5 mins), please have them see it -- or even just a part of it. It will give your folks a tangible preview of the type of work you are doing for your project.
Make a mental note to yourself: when you apply to colleges, tell them you created the type of tutorial you will make. Send them the link to your very own one. My contacts tell me this will be very impressive. Very few HS students (let alone freshmen!) are doing this work, so BRAVO!!! I continue to be very proud of you.
If you have any problems viewing the screencast, please comment below and/or let me know in class, OK? Happy viewing!

Hi. This is Mrs Fitz pretending to be Chris Webb in period 4. I'm just doing this to demonstrate leaving a comment.
After viewing Mrs. Fitzpatrick's screencast, I clicked on the link that said download Jing and downloaded it for myself. Now I can easily take pictures of my screen, and it is really cool!
Oh, and that was Julia from period one.

I really liked this screencast!I think it is a really useful tool, because if you didn't understand what the person was trying to explain, you could see the steps they took to get there. It also looks fun to play around with!

I thought that video was good. The pace and tone of voice were easy to follow and it wasn't that boring (only a little). The program looks useful and pretty easy to use, however i don't see how we will be using that on our calculators. The time limit they have will definitely be a problem because we have to walk the viewer through every step and it could take a could minute to tell them how to draw a triangle. I can see that it will be a useful somewhat fun program to use.

I thought the screencast was informative and was explained well enough to follow along. It also is a good example of how to create our projects using Jing. It seems that the program won't be too difficult to run even if you aren't so good using technology. I can now see why you said we will need to cut down some of our scripts because of the time limit.

The video was good. It was a good example of using Jing and it was nice to see that the Jing software looks fairly simple to use. The video didn't sound too much like a lecture which was a plus. I realized that a time limit is really important but I think it will be hard to explain thoroughly but slowly enough what to do. Like Nick said above, I don't really get how to incorporate our calculators in it either so I'm still kind of confused about that.
Hi, this is Liz from period 5. This program looks pretty useful and maybe fun to play around with. The tone of you video was pretty good but it was too long. I never like to watch videos longer than 3-ish minutes long. I think its the same with most people. So I guess this shows that we should cut to the chase when we are making our videos and not to dwell on things too much.
I thought that the sreencast was good and easy to follow. It helped me to understand how we are goin to be using the software and made it seem easier than I expected, but i dont understand how the calculators will be incorporated in with it. Other than that I think that this was a good example that we can reference to during our project.
oh by the way that was Emily from period 5
sorry i pressed the wrong number period 4 not 5
Hi Im Curtis Sgroi and I am in Period 5 of Mrs.Firpatrick's Honors Geometery class at Reading Mermorial High school. I think using Jing to teach lessons outside of class is a powerful tool. This allows so many different ways we can learn than just doing problems from the classroom. The video show us a perfect example of an good intructial video. An idea to incorperate calculators in to the program is to use the online calculators mis.Fitzpatrick showed us in class.
