Hi this is Nick from Block C.
It was great to see all the support from many students for Boston during our Boston day at RMHS. The events that happened at the Boston Marathon and the days following truly were a tragedy. Though it was a terrible event that took place, it really showed in the days after the bombing how together of a community Boston truly is and how together a community Reading and other towns surrounding Boston truly are. The events made people pull together and realize what is truly important. Boston day at RMHS showed a great amount of support for the community of Boston and its victims.

Boston day at RMHS was a great idea and a fantastic way for our community to show support. Not only was the Boston Marathon bombings a tragedy for Boston, it was also a tragedy for all of America. After seeing what the rest of the country has done to show support for the victims and their families I thought that having a Boston day at RMHS was the least we could do to help heal the pain that everyone was feeling. This event has definitely brought our community closer, unfortunately it took such a horrific event to do so.

Hi Nick it is Matt from Block C.
I could not agree more with more with you about how good it was to see all of the support on Friday for Boston. What happened at the Marathon was a very scary thing that was to close to and I found to be very scary. To see all of the support really helped me see how many other people where feeling the same way I was.

Hi it's Emma from B block. I really wanted to comment on the post with the JFK quote and the picture of the Earth, but there wasn't an option to add a comment :( Since I couldn't write on that post, I'm adding my comment here instead.

When I first read the quote, I didn't fully understand it. After rereading it a couple times, I started to wrap my head around it. First off, the quote touched on the point that even though people on this Earth are all completely different in so many ways, we are all similar emotionally. I love the message that this gives. Even though people may seem different because of appearance and personality, deep down everyone is born with most of the same aspirations and dreams. Two complete opposites all have the same vision to exceed at something in life. Relating this to math, it's almost like the transitive property. Two different things equal each other because the both equal the same thing. In this case, two seperate individuals are the same in that they both humans on Earth with dreams

Not only do I like the meaning of this picture and what Boston day represents, I also like how they posed under the quote "Be the change you wish to see in the world." When all of the students at RMHS wore Boston attire to support the people affected in the tragedy, it showed that they were trying to make a difference. This relates to the quote above them because they have seen an injustice and have used it to begin making their own change in the world. I personally think that is an important message to express and I agree with everything this picture represents.

Hey its Sam A from Block B,
I personally think that this day was a great day and idea from the school. I wore a boston college shirt and I saw plenty of others supporting the boston apparel day. The tradgeties of the last few weeks have affected numerous amounts of people and every show of support to helping the people affected is a great thing. Just like sam said, "it was a tragedy for all of America" it was a terrorist plot that even though was a tragety, from it we have shown the world how strong and resiliant we are. We are Boston Strong.

Hi this is Jackson from A Block. I thought Boston day was a great way to show our support. This event didn't happen thousands of miles away but it happened in our backyard. The bombings affected us all in some way. I am glad the school acknowledged this, and they allowed students to come together as a community and talk about it. As I walked around school, I saw all the support and people participating in this event. It certainly made me feel a lot better and it shows how difficult it can be to terrorize such close communities.

Hi this is sam bacon from block c. Wow this is a great image. I missed this day in school but these kids all dressed in their Boston apparel truly shows how we value community here at rmhs. It is awesome how everyone was able to pull together and show our support for all the victims. I am sure if anyone of them saw this image, they would really appreciate what we did here at rmhs

Hi this is Tommy W from B block, Rather than talking about the negatives from the Boston bombing I want to reflect on all the positives things that came out of this horrible tragedy. Even though Boston took a turn on April 15th the community came together and battled through those tough few days before the fugitives were taken into custody. Many surrounding schools and communnities came together including RMHS. I know as a a school we raised a lot of money for the boston marathon bombings. Also, not only was Massachusetts involved I know states all over America were watching attentively and praying for us and I love how we never gave up hope and persevered through this tragedy.
