So, OK, I've paraphrased Shakespeare for the title to this entry but, hey, it seems to work! If you are a returning student, welcome back! If you're new to this blog, or even to all blogs, welcome too! Once you're done reading this entry, navigate your way around this blog. Read some other entries. Learn about my family and about some neat work my students did last year.
I hope you had a fun summer. Back in June, remember all the rain we had? Boy, once July and August hit with the heat and sun I was much happier. How about you?
Just to get us going, please leave an answer to these questions below in a comment: What was one of the most fun days you had this summer? What did you do and who did you do it with? What made it so special?
A rule or two about responsible blogging, OK? First, your comment may appear as "Anonymous" but that's just the label. It really won't be anonymous. Your first typed line should have your name, class and block letter. It might read something like, "This is Andrew A from Geom in Block A". Then you can answer the question I just asked you.
See you in class! What was my best day this past summer? Well, you'll have to stay "posted" to this blog and maybe read about it in a future entry!
Once again, welcome back. It's great to see you at RMHS.

Hello,
I am excited to begin my year as the new principal of RMHS and see classes using cool ways to communicate. Who knew math class could be so much fun!
Ms. Fitzpatrick, I see you like to travel. I'd love to ask you about Tuscany, which is on my list of places I would love to visit. I also see you went to Tufts University. My son is a senior there this year double majoring in International Relations and Japanese and having a fabulous experience.
I am looking forward to checking in on this blog as the year progresses. Students, have a great year!
Ms. Freedman
Ms. Freedman,
Thank you for such an interesting comment! Oh, most definitely go to Tuscany ~ anytime you get the oppy. In fact, when my family and I went, we went with a group of RMHS teachers. The trip was coordinated by Dr, Tony DiSanzo, who was our previous dept head of Foreign Language. It was a remarkable trip, culminating in four days in Bella Roma. I'd go again in an instant.
Go, Jumbos! You'll have a wonderful commencement in May, located on the commons in front of Ballou Hall. You'll love it ~ and, you'll be so proud.
Thanks again for taking the time to write in. And, keep checking in to see the students' upcoming comments. ~ Mrs. Fitzpatrick
Mrs. Fitzpatrick;
Wow, you sure have been to a lot of interesting places over the past couple years. Most fun I had this summer was going to a water park. Well, it wasn't really a water park, I just got sprayed trying to relocate by lawn sprinkler while it was on.
Anyway, I love your blog and I commend you for your hard work in communicating with your students. To Mrs. Fitz' students: you will have a great year with your math teacher. She will work you hard, help you learn and grow, and make everyday fun.
Mr. Moscariello
Mr. Mosc,
You made me laugh! I, too, have been to your type of "water park" -- and gave the neighborhood kids quite a lot to laugh at in my soaked work clothes! Our old cat was pretty spooked too.
Thank you for your kind words to our students. I am sure they will appreciate it. Stay dry, dear friend, especially with the upcoming storm. ~ Mrs. Fitzpatrick
Buon giorno, Mrs. Fitzpatrick!
Summer went by so fast, didn't it?
Mine was a lot like Mr. Mosc's...without the water park. It was relaxing, anyway. I needed the "staycation", and can't complain: I'll be going to Spain with students in April!
We also have students visiting RMHS from Spain Sept. 20 - Oct. 3 and from France Oct. 17 - 31. They'll be coming to school with their RMHS counterparts on some of those days.
I also plan to have my students blogging this year and/or submitting assignments electronically via a drop box. Have you ever done that?
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next week,
Sra. Alvarez
i'm gonna make my own post about it
