Here's what I would like you to do... go into the lab (the one we've been working in) and step through your Cabri Jr script using TI Smartview. Do not launch JING. One group member should speak it, another key it in, and another time it. The one timing needs to mark your script with one, two, three, four, five, etc minute marks in the margin. This will be IMPORTANT. We're about to record our screencasts using Jing.
Once you've done the above, please leave a comment below (one per group). Tell me who you are, what period you are in, and then answer the following:
1) Is your entire script do-able in 5 minutes or less? (A recorded Jing session will be limited to 5 minutes.)
2) What is the total time it takes to execute your script?
3) If your script takes more than 5 minutes, can your group figure out the logical break point to put it into two separate Jing sessions?
Thanks!

Hi this is Andrew, Parker, Garrison from period 1. we have found that our script takes more than 5 minutes. The total time our script takes aproximately 7:52 minutes. We can break our script in between the two lessons.
Hi this is Kayley, ALexandra, and Julia from period One. Our topic for the project is rotations reflections and dilations. After timing it, we have figured out that it will take a 5 minute Jing session for each transformation. Our idea is to have a video on dilations, one on rotations, and a third on reflections. It should work well.
Hi this is Colin, Jared, Pete, and Chris from period 4... Sadly, our entire script takes over five minutes. The total time our script takes is:9:00. We will break it into two seperate jing sections, each with two transformations.
This is Leah, Erin, and Lily.
Our jing presentation will take about 6 minutes. We will put the introduction of our presentation and steps one, two, and three in one jing session. And the second video can have steps four through seven.
This is Haley, Tina, and Maureen from period 1. Our script takes about 8 and half minutes to do but we are able to break it up into 2sections. The first will have the intro and the first biggest lesson, and the second session will have the two easier ones.
Hi this is Sarah from period 5.
Our script was not under five minutes, it took about 7 and a half minutes. I think that if we need to stop we can stop after we show that parallel lines have the same slope. The next topic we talk about is that perpendicular lines have slopes that are the opposite reciprocal of each other. It won't be hard to stop in between those two topics.
This is Margaret and Jill from period 5. Just writing to say that we are part of Sarah's group.
Hi Mrs. Fitzpatrick. This is Micayla, Jessica, and Emily from period 4. Our screencast lasted longer than 5 minutes. We think that in order to make the best screencast possible, we should divide our steps into 2 different jing sessions. We are going to start the new session when it is time to measure the last two angles of the triangle. This way students can take their time making sure that the triangle is a 45-45-90 and will not have to worry about going on to the next step right away.
Hi! It's Ben, Paul, and Zack, or the "YES! Team" from Period 4. Since we are doing all 6 functions and inverse functions, we will need 6 separate Jing sessions. As it turns out, each one is around 3 minutes. Otherwise, we are all set.
hi this is Nick Ashley Charlie and Avery from period 5
Our screen cast is much much longer than 5 minutes. It took us about 7 min. to make a 30-60-90 triangle and measure the angles sides and adjust the points. In total it took around 15 minutes. We may be able to break it into 5 minute segments but that may be a stretch. The part that you told us to ad with the square and 45-45-90 triangles took about 10 additional minutes so we probably won't include that in our final.
This is Nick Jason and Alex. Our script took about 10 and a half minutes to complete. We could only do one of the lessons instead of both there for reducing the amount of time.
Hey, this is Carter, Nate, and Jisung from period 1. Our script is just over 5 minutes, but not by much. We didnt have an exact time, but its about 5 minutes 45 seconds. We probably wont need two sessions, but we may not be perfect with the cabri jr computer program.
