Earthrise
When I was a student, this photo was on the front page of every major newspaper in the world. It is the earth, appearing to "rise" like a sunrise. The view is from the moon. It was shot by astronauts on the Apollo mission. It is one of my favorite photos. It always makes me pause and reflect.

- I'm originally from greater Boston and have always called it home. I have a Bachelors Degree from Tufts U. and an MBA/CIS from Bentley College. I've also done some post graduate work in database designs at MIT. I worked for over 10 years as a systems engineer at The MITRE Corp. and then 13 years as a college instructor. I have a wonderful husband, and three great kids. I make a wonderful lasagna (or so I'm told) and my meatballs became famous in France! I have a very Irish last name (my husband's) but I am all Italian and proud of my strong heritage. I have over 60 cousins and we try to get together every year at a big, fun family reunion. Tell me about you. What is your family like? What do you like to eat? Is there something special you know how to cook? Let me know!
